capturing all my emotions, unknown

i have walked upon the waters

never looking down on others, alone

i have climbed the highest mountains

drinking waters from the fountain, of stone

i have dined with royalty

sailed upon all seven seas, my home

without understanding and much too demanding

they draw their conclusions from all their illusions

bearing witness to your fears, of me

i've been tortured, gagged and bound

fought your battles on my ground, i'm free

i have sought the wisest men

understanding all they said, unto me

i live and die a thousand times

every time i close my eyes, and dream

upon returning i felt a burning of ears and eyes on me

without understanding and too much demanding they're blind with jealousy

and in my learning with careful discerning

i know not to place the blame

for all of their torches that i will burn out i still carry my own flame

so now i am leaving no longer believing the tales that were once told

continuing forward is now my just reward to rewrite what they have read

looking around me i capture what i see on photos within my mind

collecting my memories depicting my history designed by none of your kind

i can see right through the sun

catch a bullet from a gun meant, for me

i can fly among the stars

and have a drink in any bar, thats me
