6 November 2005

Just back from a quick run through europe. First up was a live performance with Blanc Faces at the United Forces Of Rock festival in Stuttgart, Germany. The show was a lot of fun, playing and hooking up with some old friends like Geoff Downes and John Wetton... Next I was off to Warsaw, Poland & Prague and Zirovnice in the Czech Republic for a few days of press and interviews, and another great tracking session with my friend and guitarist, Milos Dolezal. While there i got to hear the final mixes for his latest CD, soon to be released and featuring myself, along with Doug Wimbish, John Patitucci, Barry Sparks and others.

Very busy as of late working with newly signed christian artist Kerrie Roberts. Ron Allaire and I were chosen by her label to produce, engineer and mix Kerrie's debut CD. She's a fantastic singer with some great material and we're having a wonderful time arranging, playing and recording, along with the talent and assistance of our usual cast of characters, making appearences on the record so far are Rob Arthur - keys (Five For Fighting, Keri Noble), Al Pitrelli - guitar (everyone), Jeff Ganz - bass (Lou Reed, Larry Corryel), Sean Harkness - nylon string guitar (Windham Hill Artist), Katreese Barnes - b. vox (Sting, Alicia Keyes, Jewel) and myself - drums & perc. The CD release should be some time next spring and look for Kerrie out thereon the Velocity Tour and opening dates for Amy Grant.

Also making it's appearence on Kerrie's CD is our new Yamaha C7 Concert Grand Piano. Straight from The Hit Factory and right to the main room at Skyline Studios NYC. Tickled by the fingers of Alicia Keyes, Elton John, Beyonce and many others...

isn't she a beauty...

30 August 2005

Can't believe the summer is almost over....! It's been a great one. I'll start with most recent activities and work my way back. Another wonderful experience laying down all the drum tracks for Alan Friedmans' new record. I love the last one, 'Test of Time' and am really looking forward to this new one as well. As far as i know, Bobby Kimball, Doug Wimbish, Bernard Fowler, Vince DiCola, Mark Zampino, Robbie Leblanc, Sally Eckels and Jen Lowe will be making appearances once again. Back in the studio and using my services on the kit again is Shari Pine. She's working on another record and also has my good friend Brett Scallions of Fuel playing some bass. Another recent tracking session laying down drums for Katya, produced by Andre Fratto.

Let's not forget about the jingles... Texaco, Fisher Price, Campbells Soup and Pepsi.

Had a wonderful experience playing drums for the infamous Labyrinth Group Theater Company and their production of John Patrick Shanleys' "Obsession", working along side the likes of Philip Seymour Hoffman, Christopher Meloni, Mark Linn-Baker, Yul Vazquez and Ron Cephas Jones.

Productions at Skyline include working with a variety of great artists... Brooklyn's very own progressive rock trio The Daze, latin diva Jesenia, Gerri Lynn Delaney and Amin Laborial.

5 February 2005

The last few months have been full on working with Carnival Divine. They're a newly signed band from Toronto that myself and Ron Allaire just finished producing at Skyline. I also played on it and have been doing a few live shows with them as well, getting them prepared for the release and the tour. I'll keep you informed of the release date, probably early summer...

Still plenty of other sessions keeping us busy at Skyline. More jingles for Toys R Us, Listerine and Gillette, mixes and productions for Latin artists Amin Laboriel and Jessenia, tracking sessions for Ricky Byrd (Joan Jett) with Liberty Divito (Billy Joel) on drums and a video shoot for The Harvey Moon Band directed by LaNae Rivera. Eye To Eye was back in with Rhett Davies to mix their anniversary recording, which came out great, as well as having the legendary Nile Rodgers in recording the B-52's with Omar Hakim (Sting/Madonna) on drums.

Next up for production/playing is artist Geri Lynn, who starts recording this week.

Go Pats...!
