Just finished a month of recording, mixing and mastering the new CD for heavy metaler's Remains Of The Fallen. The CD was produced by myself and Ron Allaire for Par For Productions. The band features John Mooney on vocals, Jeremy Jacobs on bass, Mike Errico and Mike Nicoletti on guitars (and a vocal!), with myself on drums. It was great to pull out the double kick chops once again, after being on the small studio kit 99% of the time these days. This is one very heavy CD and should be out and available very soon as the band is getting ready to hit the road down the east coast. Check them out at www.rotfmusic.com.

Have been working with guitarist Angus Clarke (TSO) laying down guitar tracks for a new rock project being done here at Skyline. Keeping busy once again with jingle composer Phil Ashley, playing on various spots for Fisher Price. Guitarist and accountant extraordinaire (or is that the other way around), Alan Friedman was back in Skyline to have me lay down the last of the drum tracks for his new CD, due out later this year. Was over at KMA Studios in NYC laying down tracks for a few broadway tunes with Mike Kissell producing and playing acoustic guitar, with my old buddy Sean Harkness on electric.

Happy Belated New Year...!

January was a blur... Had a wonderful time at this year's LA NAMM show. Having missed the last few years, it was high time to catch up and I was busy as hell.. Played at the Pearl booth on friday, two gigs with Alan Firedman and Bobby Kimball on saturday and a gig on sunday with Jerry Donahue, subbing for Dave Mattacks. The show was a blast, giving me the opportunity to see so many old friends. Simon Phillps, Andy Newmark, Dave Mattacks, Terry Bozzio, Kenny Aranoff, Denny Fongheiser, Tris Imboden, Joey Heredia, Chris Parker, Chester Thompson, Carmine and Vinnie Appice, Dave Weckl, Joel Rosenblatt, A.J. Pero, Joe Franco and Ian Wallace were only a few of the boys hanging.

Skyline has been very busy cranking out a variety of sessions...Taka Umena of Flava Entertainment in this past weekend recording jingles for Nippon Tel, with Larry Alexander engineering, Steve Geuting assisting, Steve Torbin on piano, Jeff Ganz on bass, Glenn on guitar, Nick Fowler vocals and myself on the kit. Producer/guitarist Jimmy Rip (Mick Jagger) was in recording for Ivan Neville (Keith Richards, PIL), with Richie Fortus (G N R) on cello, Blondie Chaplin and Bernard Fowler (The Rolling Stones) on vocals. Producer George Petit in tracking (and soon to be mixing) jazz saxophonist Paul Carlon and his big band for Paul's new CD due out in the spring. Montel Williams back in working on more material for his debut CD. All the way from Tokyo to record on our beautiful C7 was Yasu Sugiyama, with Chris Mihn Doky producing and on bass, along with Joel Rosenblatt on drums. Chris also knocked out another session right after for his own CD. Ron Allaire fixing and mixing the debut CD of Luxuria on Sony Brazil, with myself fixing and replacing drums. Argentinian superstar vocalist/producer Gustavo Cerati in recording vocals for Shakira, with myself editing and engineering. Saxophonist Dan Lerman in recording piano for his new CD, with Tal Bergman on drums and Tim Landers on bass, Steve Geuting engineering. Joe Lynn Turner recording vocals for a Japanese project, with engineer Joe Barbaria and producer Taka Umena for Flava Entertainment. Skyline alumni engineer Pat Dillett in with producer Dougie Bowne recording pianist Nina Ohashi. Also working in Skyline is television talk show host Montel Williams, with Steve Geuting engineering. For those of you who didnŐt know, Montel is also a singer and is working on his first music recording. Jingle producer/composer Phil Ashley in recording spots for Texaco, Gillette and Pepsi.

Happy Birthday to my little brother Marc..!
