For those of you who have an interest in every little thing I do, this page is for you.  From jingles and studio recordings to mix, edit and mastering sessions to live gigs and tours. Personal notes, as well as what's going on at Skyline Studios...

26 July 2007

Ok, so it's been a year! But who's counting? Usually I have the same old excuse, being busy with sticks in my hand... but this time it's different. No really. For those of you who do not know, I have taken on wearing yet another hat in the music industry... Editor-in-Chief. That's right, you heard correct. I am now, and have been for almost a yar, the Editor-in-Chief of a brand new drum and music magazine to hit the U.S. and international market called DRUMHEAD. It's not the average drum magazine that we've all gotten too used to... not only full of great in-depth interviews with the worlds top and up and coming drummers, but the magazine also contains an audio CD with every issue that corresponds with video on the website, giving you first hand private lessons with none other than Gary Chaffee, Dave Mattacks, Mike Mangini, Robby Ameen, Mike Clark, Larry Fratangelo, Victor Jones and Steven Wolf, just to name a few. On top of that, there are special master classes and songs to listen and play along to. Go to www.drumheadmag.com and check it out. And for those of you who have been asking (for the past 20 years) about "Put Up Or Shut Up," I'm happy to say that I did finally find the time to get back into the studio and remix it. So, PUOSU, along with another song from that session, is now on CD and available through the Drumhead.

Needless to say, life now runs on a 25 hour, 8 day week.

Sessions and gigs are still my priority and I'll be updating the discography very soon wth the various recordings of the last year.

Lastly, speaking of gigs, I'm very excited to annouce that I'm jumping out for a couple of weeks with one of my all time favorite groups, "The Tubes!" Many thanks to Prairie Prince for asking me to sub for him while he's out with "The New Cars." So, for those of you on the east coast, you can catch me on the gigs listed below, or check out The Tubes website for more dates and info.
